Lance proposed to Ashley during their East Coast trip last Spring. The two had just arrived in New York, completely exhausted from a red eye flight. However, their energy was quickly restored by the beautiful cherry blossom trees and long stroll around Central Park. After getting a drink at The Boathouse, Ashley was busy hasseling Lance about him not wanting to go on a canoe ride. Lance kept deflecting her protests, telling her there was going to be live music under Betheseda Terrace. He quickly rushed her under the terrace and amongst a crowd of people, she spotted an old friend of their's who they had met from their last NY trip, Nathaniel. When Ashley saw Nathaniel's camera and Lance's huge, nervous smile plastered on his face, she knew. The proposal was quick yet surreal, and afterwards the couple spent the whole day completely giddy as they played tourists going on a pizza tour with their friend, then the Rainbow Room for an amazing view and dinner.
